  • How to report a Street light outage online, via phone call, and on the SCE app.

• Presentation by Ventura Fire Department's Fire Marshal - Brett Reed

  • The intent of this presentation would be to highlight our Fire Hazard Reduction Program, how it impacts Westside residents, how it has evolved since 2022, and how our community can best be prepared for wildfire. Fire prevention efforts are most successful when community members and firefighters work together. One of the best defenses to protect against wildfire is to clear flammable grass, trees, and shrubs away from structures and create what’s known as a “defensible space” around properties. This year, the brush management deadline for property owners located in Ventura's "Very High" and "High" Fire Hazard Severity Zones has been pushed to Thursday, June 1, 2023.

• City of Ventura Environmental Sustainability Division - Arriana Rabago

  • Environmental Specialist with the City of Ventura, will speak about the Food Waste Recycling Program and an exciting new program providing residents receive free compost and mulch.

  • Cómo reportar un apagón de alumbrado público en línea, por teléfono, y en la aplicación de SCE.

• Presentación por el Jefe de Bomberos de la ciudad de Ventura - Brett Reed

  • La intención de esta presentación sería poner de relieve nuestro Programa de Reducción de Peligro de Incendios, cómo afecta a los residentes de Westside, cómo ha evolucionado desde 2022, y cómo nuestra comunidad puede estar mejor preparada para los incendios forestales. Los esfuerzos de prevención de incendios tienen más éxito cuando los miembros de la comunidad y los bomberos trabajan juntos. Una de las mejores defensas para protegerse contra los incendios forestales es limpiar la hierba inflamable, árboles y arbustos lejos de las estructuras y crear lo que se conoce como un "espacio defendible" alrededor de las propiedades. Este año, la fecha límite de gestión de maleza para los propietarios ubicados en Ventura "muy alta" y "alta" zonas de riesgo de incendio de Severidad se ha empujado al jueves, 1 de junio de 2023.

• División de Sostenibilidad Medioambientalde la Ciudad de Ventura - Arriana Rabago

  • Especialista Ambiental de la Ciudad de Ventura hablará sobre el Programa de Reciclaje de Residuos de Alimentos y un nuevo y emocionante programa que ofrece a los residentes recibir compost y mantillo gratis.
